LAHORE: The Punjab government announced Eid ul Fitr-related holidays on Friday.
A notification has also been issued in this regard.
A five-day Eid holiday had also been announced earlier on Thursday by the federal government.
When is Eid ul Fitr exactly?
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the strict undertakings service, the Focal Ruet-e-Hilal Board of trustees will meet on April 20 to determine the location of the Eid ul Fitr sickle moon.
The statement states that Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Ruet-e-Halal Committee, will preside over the meeting, which is scheduled to take place at the ministry of religious affairs in Islamabad.
Additionally, the statement stated that specific locations across the nation will host the meetings of the zonal committees.
At the moonsighting meeting, there was a lot of confusion, so Ramadan 2023 started on March 23.
