Through her video blogs, a young Pakistani student has been promoting kinship between Pakistan and China by demonstrating Chinese culture, cuisine, and day-to-day life.
Mahzaib Abbasi has lived in China for roughly seven years and is currently enrolled at the Beijing Language and Culture College (BLCU).
She expressed, “Through my video blogs, our kin in Pakistan, as well as our kin in the US, Europe, and nations in the Center East can get a brief look at the way of life, individuals, and day to day existence in China.”
Abbasi went to China in 2016 to study Chinese and participate in the Confucius Institute Scholarship Program. She had a few valuable opportunities to visit close to fifty urban communities in the neighboring nation while she was working in the capital of China.
“Every city in China makes me feel different. I went to Lijiang, Dali, Xishuangbanna, Kunming, Shangri-La, and so on. while remaining in Yunnan. You can feel the ancient culture in these cities,” she went on to say.
She also showed modern Chinese cities and skyscrapers in her vlogs. It feels perfect to visit these locations in China.
The young Pakistani vlogger also made videos about mosques, religious liberty, the lives of Muslims, and whether or not halal food is available in China.
She stated that there are numerous Muslims in China and that halal food is readily available everywhere. In Xi’an and Lanzhou, there are a great deal of Muslims. Almost every Chinese city is home to Muslims. I went to the Muslim Street in Xi’an. Food that is halal can be eaten.
“The vast majority of China’s urban communities have access to lanzhou noodles, seared noodles, pilaf, and broiled rice.”
On Eid, Abbasi recorded Muslims praying in a mosque in Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu province.
She continued, “As you can see in my video, people are free to do religious activities,” despite the fact that “many people have heard that Muslims in China don’t have any freedom and can’t go to mosques to pray.”
Abbasi stated that many people are unfamiliar with China because they have never been there. She continued by stating that there are numerous Pakistani restaurants in China.
Numerous people know nothing about China. After watching the videos, many people are now aware of the real China. Coincidentally, China is so exquisite consequently supportive,” she added.
“A lot of people want to study and work in China. A lot of foreigners work here.
Abbasi intends to teach Chinese in Pakistan or any other Middle Eastern nation after completing her postgraduate studies.
